While we think of modern garden design as being a relatively recent development the modern┬áprinciples of contemporary garden design; ┬ásimplicity, minimalism, geometry, water, structural planting and conservation can be traced back over a 1000 years, to the deserts of North Africa and the early gardens of southern Spain.
